QUANTUM BATTERY PACK

The Quantum Battery Pack holds eight D-cell batteries (yielding 12VDC) and two detachable leads fitted with 2.5 mm miniplugs. It is capable of powering any of the Quantum Loops for well over 100 hours and the Quantum Phaser for 75-100 hours with alkaline cells.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
    I needed a portable battery supply to power both the Quantum QX Loop v2.0 and v2.0+ and Quantum Phaser on mini-DXpeditions. I had been using a rechargeable 12VDC gel cell but was stranded once when a short across one of the internal cells occurred. I figured a replaceable cell system that used readily available batteries was the answer so I put together the Quantum Battery Pack. The Quantum Battery Pack comes with two leads fitted with 2.5 mm miniplugs but the leads are replaceable so that different types of power connectors can be used. I presently use two Quantum Battery Packs to power a Palstar R30, a Quantum QX Loop v2.0+, a Quantum Phaser, and a tape recorder.
    Besides DXpeditions, the battery pack can also be of value if you are plagued by excessive AC line noise in your shack.
